Blackpool Dance Store: Refund & Returns Policy
1. Online Purchases (Distance Selling)
In accordance with UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, for items purchased online:
- Return Window: You have 14 days from the date of receipt to notify us of a return.
- Condition: Items must be unworn, in original packaging, and with all tags attached.
- Return Shipping: A flat return shipping fee of £4.95 applies to all non-faulty returns and will be deducted from your final refund.
- Exclusions: The right to cancel does not apply to bespoke, made-to-order, or personalised items.
🇪🇺 Special Notice for European Union & EEA Customers:
In accordance with EU Directive 2023/2673 (Right of Withdrawal), consumers residing within the European Union or European Economic Area have the statutory right to withdraw from eligible distance contracts within 14 days of receiving their goods, without providing a reason.
To exercise this right seamlessly and electronically without logging into a customer account, you may utilise the dedicated "Withdraw Contract" electronic portal accessible via our website footer or checkout page. Upon submitting your electronic withdrawal, an automated acknowledgment of receipt will be delivered to your email address without delay.
Please note that the statutory right of withdrawal strictly excludes custom-made items, custom-stoned performance wear, and sealed products unsealed after delivery due to health and hygiene protection.
2. In-Store Purchases
The 14-day statutory "cooling-off" period for online sales does not apply to items bought in-store.
- Policy: We offer a 7-day exchange or store credit only for in-store purchases of standard stock items, provided they are returned in perfect, sellable condition with a receipt.
- Exclusions: We do not offer refunds for "change of mind" on in-store purchases.
3. Non-Returnable Items & Hygiene
Certain items are strictly non-returnable due to their nature or health and hygiene reasons:
- Leotards & Intimate Apparel: For hygiene reasons, leotards and intimate apparel must be returned in original, unworn condition with all tags attached. Items showing signs of wear, marks, or odours will be rejected for return.
- Bespoke, Custom, & Made-To-Order: Any items manufactured or customized to your specific measurements, custom design briefs, or containing custom stoning/crystals are completely non-refundable and exempt from return.
- Sale Items: Items purchased at a discount or during a promotional sale event are non-refundable for change of mind. This does not affect your statutory rights if the item is found to be technically faulty.
4. Faulty or Incorrect Items
If an item is technically defective, please notify us immediately. In accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015, we reserve the right to professionally rectify or repair the item in the first instance before a refund is considered.
5. Orders Outside of the United Kingdom (International Returns)
For all international orders processed via our global delivery network:
- Return Freight: The customer is responsible for organising and paying the full cost of return shipping back to our UK facility. We do not provide prepaid international return labels.
- Non-Refundable Duties & Taxes: Because local import duties, customs clearance fees, and country-specific taxes (VAT/GST) are remitted directly to foreign customs authorities the moment your package enters the destination country, all duties, taxes, and original shipping fees paid at checkout are strictly non-refundable.
- Final Refund Amount: Upon safe receipt and physical inspection of your returned item, your refund will be issued strictly for the original purchase price of the product only, paid in your local presentation currency.
